Zero Waste Week Challenge

"Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, shall all be saved.”
— Jane Goodall
Basic Principles
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Compost
Stay away from single-use plastics and items (paper towels, disposable boxes, cups, etc).
Use reuseable straws, silverware, bags, water bottles, etc.
Recycle anything that can't be reused.
Compost natural waste or collect it for a local facility.
Minimize food waste.

Mason Jar Challenge
We understand zero waste isn't always possible!
Your challenge is to fit all waste for the week into a 32 oz mason jar.
Remember – waste is anything that would end up in a landfill.

Go Farther Than Zero Waste
Minimize meat consumption - livestock farming and fishing result in more gas emissions than transportation!
Use less water in daily activities like showering, washing dishes, etc.
Reduce purchasing new clothing items –fast fashion produces lots of pollution.
